Choices and Possibilities

If you do what you’ve always done,

you’ll get what you’ve always gotten”

While routines in our daily lives give us stability and predictability, they can also bring depression and boredom. This was the case with Harold, He got up at the same time every day, took the same bus to work and had lunch at the same table in the same coffee shop since he was a young man. Now, he was much older. He had been in a rut for many years.

Treatment for Harold consisted of changing minor events in his day, such as getting up at a different time and getting a different bus. After a few weeks, he was making bigger changes and experiencing different emotions. He liked it. With time, he began to find variety and enjoyment in his life. What results are you getting?
